Job summary

Gentry Professional Services is seeking a Hardware Engineer II to contribute to mission-enabling electronic warfare systems. You will drive full life-cycle hardware development from concept to field support, focusing on digital subsystems, FPGA-based designs, and high-speed interfaces.

Responsibilities include leading small design efforts, mentoring teammates, and ensuring traceability using DOORS, ClearCase, and ClearQuest. Requires U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 5+ years digital electronics design experience or Master's with 3+ years.
• Experience from schematic capture to test and integration of digital circuits.
• Hands-on prototyping and debugging of complex digital subsystems (FPGAs, embedded processors, high-speed interfaces).
• Proven ability to lead projects with two or fewer team members.
• Familiarity with revision control/review systems like DOORS, ClearCase, ClearQuest.
• U.S. citizenship and Active Secret clearance; additional customer access may be required.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and test digital hardware across full life cycle.
• Design digital subsystems and circuit cards using FPGA tech from major vendors.
• Translate system performance specs into hardware requirements and test specs.
• Perform circuit-level design, schematic capture, simulation, and analysis for high-speed interfaces.
• Support RF/EO DSP, controls, and data link designs at card/subsystem level.
• Prototype, integrate, and debug complex digital subsystems in the lab.
• Lead small design efforts and mentor teammates across IPTs.
• Maintain design documentation and traceability in revision control systems.
