Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies seeks a Digital Hardware Engineer V to lead architecture, design, integration, and verification of high‑reliability digital hardware for aerospace and defense programs. You will guide multiple projects, establish engineering best practices, and mentor teams.

The role emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration with software and firmware, rigorous design reviews, and delivering robust hardware solutions that meet demanding environments and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Electrical or Computer Engineering bachelor’s degree.
• 10+ years in a specialized functional discipline; or alternative experience per degree.
• Experience designing and testing digital electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital hardware development from concept to sustaining engineering.
• Act as the technical design authority for complex product development projects.
• Identify and resolve complex hardware issues during development and post-production.
• Collaborate with software, firmware, manufacturing, and other engineers to integrate hardware and software solutions.
• Create detailed documentation for designs, testing procedures, and other relevant information.
• Optimize designs for performance, reliability, and cost.
• Mentor engineers across multiple experience levels.
• Lead Design Reviews.
