Frontgrade Technologies seeks a Digital Hardware Engineer II to design and verify high-reliability digital electronics for aerospace and defense. You will independently execute complex hardware designs and collaborate with FPGA, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to meet performance and schedule goals.

The role emphasizes component selection, interface development, rigorous documentation, and design optimization for reliability and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including FPGA, firmware and software.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware designs for Space grade and High Reliability modules.
• Perform component trade studies and part selection.
• Develop interface requirements and optimize for performance and cost.
• Collaborate with software/firmware/manufacturing teams to integrate hardware and software.
• Create detailed documentation for designs and testing procedures.
