Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is partnering with a cutting-edge DoD sensing technology manufacturer to hire a Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware in the Syracuse area.

You will lead the design of advanced digital hardware, including FPGA-based solutions, PCBs, and high-speed interfaces, while collaborating across engineering teams to deliver next-generation products. A strong lab background and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience with FPGAs, high-speed interfaces, and DSP concepts.
• Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes and analyzers.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of advanced digital hardware for DoD sensing products.
• Design multi-layer PCBs and schematics; support layout.
• Develop FPGA solutions with VHDL/Verilog on Xilinx.
• Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, and production support.
• Develop automation scripts in Python and Bash to streamline work.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through product lifecycle.
