Clear Concepts, Inc. in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware to lead the design of advanced digital hardware and FPGA-based systems. You will architect PCBs, develop HDL code, and drive hardware validation in a DoD-sensing technology environment.

The role requires 5+ years in digital hardware, strong VHDL/Verilog skills, and experience with high-speed interfaces. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience designing analog and digital circuits including FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.
• Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.
• Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.
• Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, DSP, and communication architectures.
• Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
