Job summary

EY is hiring a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership and delivery accountability. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while remaining close to code and technical decisions.

You will coordinate delivery across geographically distributed teams, mentor engineers, manage dependencies and risks, and communicate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of technology software development experience, including responsibility for leading project teams or major delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding experience with Java and Spring Boot, including development of microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with at least one modern UI framework, preferably Angular or React, and ability to guide full-stack engineering decisions.
• Experience building, reviewing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications on a major cloud platform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container-based deployments, testing, static code analysis, and code-quality gates.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum delivery practices, including sprint planning, backlog management, release planning, and delivery tracking.
• Experience leading distributed teams across multiple geographic locations and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Mentorship and coaching skills to improve engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software engineering work across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, proofs-of-concept, and resolving complex engineering issues.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native patterns.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and demonstrations.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams, ensuring ownership and timely decisions.
• Mentor engineers through technical coaching and career development conversations.
• Partner with product owners, architects, quality engineering, DevOps, security, and clients to translate requirements into delivery plans.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, issues, and delivery metrics; escalate impediments with actions.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event-driven and data-processing solutions using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink or comparable technologies.
