Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Digital Engineer in Linthicum, MD, onsite at the Digital Technologies Department. You will lead architecture, DSP design, and subsystem integration for embedded processors, ASICs, and FPGAs, with a focus on digital subsystems and system-level optimization.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to develop cost/risk/schedule estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Must have current/active Secret Clearance to start and be able to obtain SAP.
• 10 years of experience developing digital subsystems.
• 8 years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with management and customers to define objectives and formulate solutions.
• Provide direction to internal and external design teams and oversee design work.
• Develop realistic estimates for development cost, risk and schedule.
• Create architectures compatible with internal and industry standards.
• Allocate functionality to SBCs, SoCs, ASICs, and FPGAs; model DSP algorithms.
• Develop DSP in Matlab/Python and perform system trade studies.
