Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Digital Hardware Design Engineer to join the Hardware Engineering team. You will contribute to the design, verification, and validation of airborne radar hardware with RTL development and FPGA/ASIC work.

You will collaborate across verification, physical design, firmware and system engineering teams while applying industry-standard EDA tools and design methodologies. Onsite in El Segundo, US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major.
• Experience with digital logic design fundamentals and RTL design workflows.
• Familiarity with HDL languages and timing analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement digital hardware blocks using Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL.
• Develop RTL for FPGA/ASIC-based systems.
• Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Create and run simulation testbenches for verification.
• Debug RTL, simulation, synthesis and hardware integration issues.
• Collaborate with verification, physical design, firmware and systems teams.
• Support FPGA prototyping, lab bring-up and silicon validation.
• Analyze timing, area, power and performance tradeoffs.
• Document designs and test results.
• Learn and apply industry-standard EDA tools.
