Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Digital Automation Engineer for the ROCKS Team, fully remote within the United States. You will build and scale automation to improve infrastructure deployment, CI/CD, and operational efficiency across mixed environments, partnering with enterprise teams to deliver reusable automation components and clear documentation.

The role emphasizes Ansible development, IaC design, and ensuring reliable automation workflows with cross-platform administration experience. U.S.

Qualifications

8+ years of automation engineering experience, or 5+ years with an advanced degree
U.S. citizenship required for government security clearance
Ansible expertise with containerized automation experience
Python programming/scripting proficiency
Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration
Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy automation

Responsibilities

Automate infrastructure deployment using Ansible across VMware, bare metal, and cloud environments
Design and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions based on requirements
Create reusable and modular Ansible roles for consistent deployment
Develop CI/CD pipelines for testing and deploying automation code
Write custom Ansible modules and integrate automation solutions with enterprise systems
Create operational documentation including runbooks and architecture diagrams
Monitor automation processes and troubleshoot issues to improve performance
