Job summary

Jump Trading Group seeks a Senior Accounting Analyst to manage month-end close across multiple digital asset entities from its Chicago office. You will ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, accuracy, and strong controls while supporting growth and cross-functional teams.

You will drive variance analysis, automate processes, and contribute to audits and tax preparation. A CPA and multi-entity experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of accounting experience with a track record of owning the general ledger, reconciling complex accounts, and improving close processes in a fast-paced, multi-entity organization.
• Experience in trading industry accounting and/or digital assets is a plus.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; CPA (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Analytical skills with ability to surface variances and trends.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Self-directed, adaptable, and dependable with deadline-driven execution.

Responsibilities

• Month-end Close: Maintain the monthly accounting close for multiple digital asset entities, reconcile transactions, post activity, and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting with strong controls.
• Variance analysis: Analyze monthly variances to explain movements and identify trends.
• Finance automation: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation, including AI initiatives.
• Problem-solving & process improvement: Tackle ad hoc analyses and streamline workflows.
• Audit, tax, and cross-departmental support: Assist with external audits and tax schedules; collaborate with internal teams.
• Other duties as assigned or needed.
