Job summary

Healthcare Nursing Center is seeking a Diet Services Manager to lead our dietary department in delivering nutritious meals and excellent service to residents. You will oversee menu planning, procurement, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required by law.
• Completion of an approved Food Management Course is required.
• CDM or CFSM certification is preferred.
• Previous dietary management experience in healthcare or senior living.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, diets, and dietary restrictions.
• Excellent leadership, communication and safety awareness.
• Proficient with computer applications including menu planning software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the dietary department, ensuring nutrition, safety and service quality.
• Plan menus that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
• Procure food and supplies within budgetary guidelines.
• Recruit, train and supervise dietary staff; conduct evaluations.
• Assess residents' dietary requirements and coordinate with healthcare staff.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with sanitation, safety and infection control.
• Monitor quality and presentation of meals and address concerns promptly.
• Manage department budgets and cater to special requests.
