Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Dietary Director to oversee the dietary department in a long-term care setting. You will manage meal planning, food preparation, and service delivery, ensuring meals are safe, nutritious, and tailored to resident needs in line with physician orders and menus.

The role requires supervising staff, managing budgets, and collaborating with nursing and activities teams to promote resident well-being and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved dietary manager’s course meeting state and federal regulations.
• Minimum one year of experience in a long-term care dietary department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and participate in the preparation and service of meals that are safe and meet dietary needs.
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and compliance with approved menus and physician orders.
• Manage department budget, control costs, and order food and supplies.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff; handle disciplinary actions and terminations as needed.
• Coordinate dietary services with nursing and activities departments; ensure compliance with regulations.
