Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Dietary Director to oversee the dietary department in a long-term care setting. The role focuses on meal planning, safe food preparation, and service delivery tailored to residents' needs according to physician orders and approved menus.

You will supervise dietary staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with nursing and activities teams to ensure resident well‑being and satisfaction while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved dietary manager’s course.
• Experience in a long-term care dietary department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and participate in safe, appetizing meal preparation and service.
• Manage department budget, control costs, and order food and supplies.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff; handle disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in all dietary operations.
