PACS Group in Portland, OR seeks a Dietary Director to oversee meal planning, preparation, and service for residents with physician-ordered diets. You will lead staff, manage the budget, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while coordinating with nursing and activities teams.

Responsibilities include menu updates, staff development, QA participation, and ensuring safe storage and sanitation. This role requires strong leadership and adherence to licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved dietary manager’s course meeting state and federal regulations.
• Minimum one year of experience in a long-term care dietary department preferred.
• Knowledge of PCC (PointClickCare) software preferred.
• Continue education and licensing requirements must be maintained.
• In good standing with the Department of Public Health License and Certification Division.

Responsabilités

• Direct and participate in the preparation and service of meals that are safe and meet prescribed dietary needs.
• Manage department budget, control costs, and order food and supplies.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff; handle disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure proper food storage and handling practices in compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate dietary services with nursing and activities departments; participate in QA/IDT meetings.
• Present in-service education programs for dietary staff and document changes.
