Job summary

Outfield Healthcare Partners seeks an experienced dietary services leader to manage the overall functions of the dietary department in a skilled nursing facility. The role ensures quality food service and nutritional care for residents.

You will assist with ordering, storage, and preparation, and oversee menu changes under the food service director. The position requires leadership in food safety and standardized recipes, with involvement in department policies.

Qualifications

• Certification in food safety as required by state regulations.
• Graduate of dietary manager training program approved by the Dietary Manager’s Association and/or State Health Department preferred.
• Two to three years of supervisory experience in hospital or long-term care facility dietary department desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall functions of the dietary department to ensure quality food service and nutritional care in a skilled nursing facility.
• Assist with food ordering, storage and preparation as designated by the food service director.
• Make and record menu changes under the direction of the food service director.
• Ensure safe food handling techniques are used.
• Maintain standards for food preparation and quality of food service; use nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required.
• Assure dietary staff follows standardized recipes.
• Attend staff meetings and departmental meetings; participate in committees as directed.
• Assist in developing and updating departmental procedures and policies.
• Work dietary staff job routines when assigned or as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous work assignments as required.
