Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Must have basic tools.
• Experience repairing automotive gas or diesel engines.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
• CDL Class A (preferred) and other location-specific certifications as required.
• Ability to drive Ryder vehicles and obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty equipment.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Communicate with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue.
• Document work in Shop Management System and electronic records.
• Support operations and mentor Tech 1/Tech 2 levels.
• Complete OEM diagnostic tool training and updates.
