Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Mobile, AL seeks an experienced Technician I to maintain and repair trucks and trailers with minimal supervision. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and support drivers to keep fleets on the road.

Qualifications

• Six years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting of engines, transmissions and differentials; OEM training and ASE 608/609 preferred.
• Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred.
• DOT/OSHA safety policy compliance and use of required tools and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing trucks and trailers with minimal supervision.
• Performing preventive maintenance services on equipment in a timely manner.
• Repairing/diagnosing major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials.
• Keeping the work area clean and safe and logging repairs using Penske tools.
• Learning new skills through Penske's technician training and certification programs.
• Willing to work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
