Penske Truck Leasing in De Pere, WI is seeking an experienced Technician I to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of trucks and trailers. You will lead at your location, mentor peers, and work independently on both major and minor repairs, including road tests to diagnose problems.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) and OEM training courses
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
• Experience using welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools
• Valid driver’s license required, CDL preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair trucks and trailers per Penske standards
• Perform preventive maintenance services with minimal supervision
• Troubleshoot and repair major components (engines, transmissions, differentials)
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log and complete repairs
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training
• Assist with other projects as assigned by supervisor
