Job summary

FleetPride in Houston seeks a Diesel Technician III to perform advanced diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and major repairs on Class 7-8 trucks and 53’ trailers. You will train junior technicians and ensure high-quality workmanship.

Candidates should have a Diesel Technology degree and 7+ years of experience, with welding and diagnostic skills essential for this role. The job offers a strong benefits package and a hands-on shop environment.

Qualifications

Diesel Technology Associates degree is required/preferred.
7+ years of experience with Class 7 & 8 trucks.
Experience repairing 53’ trailers.
Strong diagnostic and welding abilities required.

Responsibilities

Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction(s).
Train new service shop employees on company procedures regarding vehicle repairs.
Inspect orders for completion and quality before presentation or delivery to customers.
Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes on various systems.
Overhaul, troubleshoot and repair diesel and gasoline engines.
