Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Kapolei, HI is seeking a Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and major repairs on a diverse fleet. You will work independently, mentor others, and stay current with Penske's vehicle maintenance processes and technology.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosing major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• OEM training courses, ASE Certification, 608/609 certifications (preferred).
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Team player with good collaboration.
• Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must follow Penske safety and maintenance policies (DOT/OSHA).
• Regular attendance is essential.
• DOT-regulated position; driver qualification file and DOT drug screening required.
• Willingness to travel within district.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Performing preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repairing and troubleshooting engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel systems.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.]
• Pay- 30.75/hr
