Job summary

Waste Pro of Florida seeks an experienced Diesel Technician to service heavy- and light-duty trucks, including diesel, gasoline, CNG, and hybrid systems. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to support our nationwide routes.

The role offers a comprehensive pay range, ASE certification fee reimbursement, monthly tool allowance up to $80, and benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus a 401k, disability, vacation, holidays, and sick time.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical and hydraulic system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
• Proficient use of diagnostic tools and interpreting service manuals.
• Ability to estimate time and materials for repairs; mentor assistants.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and repair/maintain equipment to maximize safe operations.
• Communicate issues with managers/drivers and discuss preventive techniques for fewer future repairs.
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per OSHA standards.
• Utilize vehicle electronic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
• Maintain high standards of ethics and dependability.
