Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a skilled mechanic to diagnose and repair heavy- and light-duty trucks in Florida. You will work with diesel, gasoline, and CNG systems, using factory service manuals and onboard diagnostics to troubleshoot and repair issues.

Qualifications

Knowledge of diagnosing and repairing engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems in heavy- and light-duty trucks.
Experience with gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems and welding/fabrication is a plus.
Ability to interpret Service Manuals and use diagnostic tools.
Estimate time and material for repairs and complete required paperwork.
Assist and guide Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs and maintenance on all equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
Communicates with managers/drivers about issues and preventive techniques.
Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
Follows all safety policies and maintains a clean, safe work area.
Utilizes vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Maintains high standards of ethics and dependability.
Uses Factory Service Manuals to perform repairs.
