Job summary
Waste Pro is seeking an experienced automotive technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body components on heavy- and light-duty trucks. Work includes gasoline, diesel and CNG systems, and may involve welding and fabrication.
Responsibilities include communicating issues with managers/drivers, completing paperwork, and following safety protocols. CDL-B is preferred within 12 months.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret service manuals.
- Ability to estimate time and materials for repairs.
- Mentor assistants and shop helpers when needed.
- CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses mechanical problems and repairs diesel, gasoline, and CNG trucks to maximize safe operations.
- Communicates vehicle issues to managers/drivers and discusses preventive techniques.
- Completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Follows safety policies and maintains clean, safe work area.
- Uses vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes for repairs.
- Performs safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
- Upholds high standards of ethics and dependability.
