Job summary
Waste Pro USA Inc. is hiring a Diesel Mechanic A (Heavy-Duty Fleet Technician) for the Fort Pierce, Florida operation. This senior-level role focuses on diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and related equipment, with pay and sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance offered.
You will work on a large municipal fleet, with ongoing training, advancement opportunities, and competitive compensation and benefits.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on heavy-duty diesel experience maintaining and repairing Class 8 vehicles and equipment.
- Ability to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior technicians and apprentices.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety requirements related to fleet maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulic and emissions systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
- Utilize OEM diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues.
- Complete repairs according to manufacturer specs and quality standards.
- Mentor junior technicians and document repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain a safe, organized workspace and follow safety policies.
