Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a qualified Technician in Suffolk, VA to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will use Penske tools for diagnostics, logging and completing repairs while ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

You will work with experienced supervisors and master technicians, receiving industry-certified training to grow your career, and benefit from competitive salary and flexibly scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs such as tire rotation and lubrication.
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills and complete Penske technician training.
• Complete other tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor.
