Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Technician in Sandston, VA to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet, keeping vehicles safe and road-ready. You will log and complete repairs using Penske tools, diagnose basic issues, and grow skills through our training programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to use basic tools and troubleshoot.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Compliance with Penske safety policies and DOT/OSHA rules.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screen.
• Willingness to travel for training within nearby geography.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske’s tools and technologies, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance including tire rotation and component lubrication on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
