Job summary

Penske is seeking an experienced Technician for our Suffolk, VA location. You will lead maintenance and repair tasks on a diverse fleet, perform preventive maintenance, and diagnose issues with Penske’s advanced tools.

Expect independent work with opportunities for training and career growth, while adhering to safety and DOT regulations. You will collaborate with others, mentor teammates, and log repairs using Penske’s systems.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated customer service and communication skills.
• Experience diagnosing/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• Welding and diagnostic equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot major components and replace assemblies as needed.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools/tech to log, research and complete repairs; basic diagnostics.
