Job summary

Vanguard Truck Centers in Georgetown, TX is seeking Diesel Technicians to service and repair diesel trucks at our full-service centers. You will follow repair orders, diagnose malfunctions, communicate with parts and service teams, and ensure safety and quality on every job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of experience preferred.
• CDL license or ability to obtain CDL is required.
• Must have base tools or obtain within 30 days; major tooling provided in house.
• Online and instructor-led training offered.

Responsibilities

• Diesel technician diagnoses and repairs trucks per repair orders with accuracy and efficiency.
• Communicates with parts and service staff to obtain needed parts.
• Road-tests vehicles when required and verifies repairs meet safety standards.
• Supervises work of any apprentice diesel technicians as assigned.
• Maintains clean work area and accounts for dealership-owned tools.
