Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training in engines, transmissions, differentials; ASE certification and 608/609 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials; replace assemblies and parts as needed.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log and complete repairs; conduct basic diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
