Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. is seeking a Senior Diesel Mechanic to perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on our fleet to keep trucks on the road. This role requires 5 years of heavy-truck experience andAdvanced knowledge of truck systems.

The position involves working with minimal direction, assisting in training less-experienced technicians, and may require travel for training or business needs. Wages, benefits, and a commitment to safety and service are provided.

Qualifications

• 5 years: Experience performing repair and maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engine vehicles, equipment, and related components.
• Advanced knowledge of truck components and systems.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude for vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, hydraulic systems, diagnostics and schematics necessary to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or components.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance of fleet vehicles safely and in compliance with all regulations and company policies.
• Performs services and repairs per company maintenance schedules and/or from DVIRs.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical issues and makes necessary repairs or replacements.
• Road tests vehicles to diagnose problems or test repairs.
• Inspects, lubricates, and services vehicles and equipment; completes adjustments and component replacements.
