Job summary

Ag-Pro Companies is seeking an experienced Service Technician to independently perform complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on John Deere equipment. You will mentor technicians, support customer clinics and ensure timely, well-documented work orders.

You will work under supervision from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman, maintain tool sets, and uphold safety rules while staying current with John Deere products and competitive technologies. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs; demonstrated experience meeting performance metrics preferred.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and basic computer functions; Service ADVISOR or similar is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians
• Conducts or supports customer clinics
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders
• Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs for skill development
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
