Job summary

Ag-Pro Companies seeks an experienced Service Technician to diagnose and repair John Deere equipment on customer and dealer-owned machines. You will mentor trainees and support customer clinics while ensuring accurate documentation and on-time submittal of work orders. Requires 5+ years of service repair experience, knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and the ability to lift 75 lbs.

High school diploma or GED required; CDL preferred. Full-time, non-exempt with benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience performing service repairs; demonstrated experience meeting performance metrics preferred.
• Experience performing repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.
• Experience operating tools and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
• Experience with basic computer functions; experience using Service ADVISOR or other diagnostic repair tools preferred.
• Experience working cooperatively in a team environment.
• Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Conducts or supports customer clinics.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Responsible for thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and timely submittal of information.
• May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs for skill development.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
