Job summary

Ag-Pro Companies seeks an experienced field technician to independently diagnose, repair and service John Deere equipment and technology. You will mentor trainees, conduct customer clinics when needed, and ensure accurate, timely documentation for each work order.

You will operate required tools and vehicles, maintain a clean workspace, and stay updated on John Deere and competitive products while adhering to safety rules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs; demonstrated experience metrics preferred.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems in off-road or heavy equipment.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and computer-based repair software.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians
• Conducts or supports customer clinics
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders
• Documentation of diagnostics and repairs on work orders and timely submittal of information
• May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
• Maintains a clean work area and works in a neat, orderly fashion
• Follows safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
