Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Diesel Technician to perform advanced maintenance and repair on heavy-duty trucks and fleet vehicles.

You will use OEM diagnostic software and shop management systems, support roadside triage, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. You will also coach junior technicians, advise shop leadership on repair decisions, and interact with drivers to understand and resolve vehicle concerns.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in diesel diagnostics and heavy-duty repairs.
• Proficiency with OEM diagnostic tools and shop management software.
• Proven ability to mentor junior technicians and lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance and repair on heavy-duty trucks and fleet vehicles.
• Conduct diagnostics and complex engine and aftertreatment work.
• Perform preventive services to reduce downtime and extend vehicle life.
• Support roadside triage and interact with drivers to resolve issues.
• Advise shop leadership on repair decisions and coach junior technicians.
