Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company (MHC Kenworth) is seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic Senior to perform skilled heavy-duty truck repairs under minimal supervision. You will troubleshoot major problems, train apprentices, and maintain a clean, safe work area while liaising with customers.

The role requires A/C, Brake, and DOT Annual Inspector certifications along with relevant hands-on experience; CDL is preferred. An opportunity for growth and on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled and complicated mechanical work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with minimum supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on major problems.
• Works with and help train apprentice technicians.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
