Murphy-Hoffman Company (MHC Kenworth) is seeking a Diesel Service Journeyman / Mechanic to perform skilled heavy-duty truck repairs under minimal supervision. The role includes troubleshooting, mentoring apprentices, and maintaining a safe, clean work area while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualified candidates have a CDL, A/C, Brake and DOT Inspector certifications, and at least one specialization with 4+ years of experience or vocational training.

Qualifications

• CDL required.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Inspector certifications.
• At least one specialization (engine, drive train).
• Minimum 4 years' experience or vocational training.
• Owns necessary tools for the position.
• Must have good customer relations and communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled and complicated mechanical work on heavy-duty truck equipment with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoots major problems.
• Assists and trains Apprentice Technicians.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper tool handling.
