Job summary

Ryder in Sterling, Virginia is hiring a permanent full-time Master Level Reefer Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet. Hourly pay is $42.00 with a sign-on bonus and quarterly bonus opportunities.

The role includes first shift hours, standard Monday–Friday scheduling, and paid training. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and mentoring other technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification, preferred.
• CDL CLASS A preferred.
• ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard maintenance and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses and repairs complex mechanical and electronic problems with diagnostic computers.
• Coaches/mentors other technicians and supports shop management.
