Job summary

Summit Line Construction seeks a qualified Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair and diagnostics on vehicles and heavy equipment to keep operations safe and efficient. You will diagnose faults, service braking systems, and ensure adherence to safety standards on site across western locations.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanic work, experience with diesel engines, hydraulic/electrical systems, and the ability to read manuals and complete documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanic experience in heavy equipment.
• Experience with heavy diesel repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical repairs.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints and specs.
• DOT medical card required; CDL-A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of equipment and vehicles to OEM specs.
• Diagnose faults with engine diagnostic tools and calibration devices.
• Dismantle, repair, reassemble heavy equipment and test performance.
• Maintain service logs, time/material records and compliance docs.
• Inspect, calibrate and adjust systems to meet manufacturer specs.
