Summit Line Construction, a subsidiary of Quanta Services, is seeking a seasoned Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair and diagnostics on vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation. The role requires strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanic work.
• Experience with heavy diesel repair and maintenance.
• Experience in heavy & yellow iron equipment.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical repairs.
• Knowledge of fuel systems; both diesel and gas.
• Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using a scanner.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to manage a schedule and organize time.
• DOT Medical card Required
• CDL Class A (Preferred).
• Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screenings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment and vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Diagnose faults using engine diagnostic equipment and calibration devices.
• Inspect and test machinery to confirm repairs meet specs.
• Document work orders and keep service logs up to date.
• Assemble and adjust mechanical components; verify tolerances.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
