Job summary

Cumberland Farms in Westborough, MA seeks a Senior Diesel Mechanic Technician to maintain, repair, and inspect our fleet of Class 8 trucks and petroleum trailers. This role requires diagnosing complex issues and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across a diverse fleet.

You will drive preventive maintenance, work with vendors and drivers, and lead maintenance efforts on a four-day, ten-hour shift with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of heavy-duty truck maintenance experience.
• Experience with Class 8 trucks and MC406 trailers or similar hazardous cargo tanks.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical diagnostics, emissions systems, and trailer repair.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic software and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Manage daily shift operations with minimal supervision.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment reliability.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, EPA regulations and hazardous materials handling.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair histories, and parts usage.
