Job summary

Cumberland Farms is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic for our Chelsea location. You will oversee maintenance for a fleet of Class 8 tractors and tank trailers, ensuring safety, reliability, and uptime. Four 10-hour days, weekend rotation, and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy-duty truck maintenance, ASE certifications, and the ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, and electrical components. CDL preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a Technical Institute with focus in diesel repair preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of heavy-duty truck maintenance experience.
• Experience with Class 8 diesel trucks and MC406 trailers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on Class 8 trucks and MC406 petroleum tank trailers.
• Manage all daily operations of the maintenance shop with little to no supervision.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Ensure all equipment complies with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, EPA requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records, repair histories, and inspection documentation.
