Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Fleet Technician to maintain and repair a broad range of high- and medium‑duty vehicles. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems to minimize downtime and total cost of ownership.

The role requires experience in fleet maintenance, knowledge of DOT regulations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifts including evenings. CDL preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year school plus 4 years experience or 5 years fleet maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance to maximize safety and cost efficiency.
• Conduct annual inspections on fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers and related equipment.
• Repair and diagnose engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC and electrical systems.
• Document all work on work orders and mentor junior technicians.
• May supervise when managers are unavailable.
