BigFoot Staffing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in diesel integration for portable industrial equipment. You’ll own how engines fit and function, designing cooling, intake, exhaust, fuel layouts, and mounts while collaborating with production, controls, and electrical teams.

This hands-on, individual-contributor role emphasizes practical design decisions, testing, and releasing new products through design reviews and production. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of diesel engine integration or mobile equipment design.
• Experience integrating cooling, fuel, intake, exhaust and other systems.
• Knowledge of engine performance under varying loads and conditions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Mansioni

• Design and integrate diesel engines into portable industrial equipment.
• Match engines to equipment requirements considering power needs and operating conditions.
• Develop cooling, intake, exhaust and emissions layouts.
• Design engine mounts, supports, sheets, and enclosures balancing durability and space.
• Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, BOMs and documentation.
• Develop and conduct testing to verify performance, reliability and compliance.
