Job summary

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. seeks a skilled Diagnostic Diesel Technician to join the Fleet & Maintenance team. You will lead engine diagnostics using Cummins Insite and Paccar DAVIE4, analyze fault data, and guide repairs at our Long Beach or Santa Fe Springs locations.

The role demands advanced knowledge of electronic diagnostics and wiring diagrams, with a focus on uptime and safety. A HS diploma and diesel tech experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience with advanced troubleshooting abilities.
• Proven experience with Cummins and Paccar engine diagnostics, software use, and repairs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Diesel technology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine issues using OEM diagnostic platforms (Cummins Insite, Paccar DAVIE4, etc.).
• Conduct electrical, emission system, and sensor diagnostics across heavy‑duty diesel trucks.
• Interpret fault codes and data, update ECU software, and calibrate sensors as needed.
• Perform advanced preventative maintenance and major component overhauls when necessary.
• Troubleshoot aftertreatment systems, DEF issues, DPF regenerations, and emissions concerns.
