Job summary

Road One Mobile Inc in Ontario, CA is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our hands-on team keeping a fleet of heavy-duty vehicles on the road. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks and trailers, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure DOT compliance.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience.
Skilled in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines from major brands.
Experience with diagnostic tools such as Nexiq or Jaltest.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
ASE certification or trade school training preferred.
Must supply own set of professional hand tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty vehicles.
Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
Troubleshoot engine, transmission, electrical, and hydraulic system failures.
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet compliance and safety standards.
Utilize diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
Complete accurate repair orders and maintenance documentation.
Coordinate with fleet managers to prioritize repairs and minimize vehicle downtime.
