Job summary

Republic Services in Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Lead Technician to direct a team of technicians, oversee chassis and refuse bodywork, and ensure repairs meet safety and regulatory standards. The role combines hands-on diagnostics with coaching and scheduling to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with heavy trucks, diesel and non-diesel systems, and the ability to mentor others while maintaining high safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced shop

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Experience with OSHA Haz Com, Lock Out/Tag Out, and fire protection regulations is a plus.
• Class B or higher CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction to technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and timely repair work.
• Inspects repairs and ensures compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Diagnoses and repairs complex issues; coaches on diagnostic techniques; schedules work groups.
