Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Maintenance Lead Technician to direct a crew of technicians in performing repairs and preventive maintenance on chassis and refuse bodywork. You will diagnose complex issues, coach staff on diagnostic techniques, and ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulations.

You may also assume Maintenance Supervisor duties as needed. The role requires strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, HVAC systems, and welding, with a focus on safe, productive shop

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Experience complying with OSHA Haz Com, Lock Out Tag Out, and fire protection regulations is a plus.
• 1 year of supervisory or lead technician experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and timely repair work.
• Plan and schedule repair work to minimize lost productivity.
• Inspect third-party repairs for safety compliance and proper completion.
• Perform complex repair diagnostics and mentor technicians.
• Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication.
