Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Lead Technician to direct a team of technicians in heavy truck and refuse body repairs. Responsibilities include diagnosing complex issues, coaching staff, and scheduling work to maintain safety and productivity in the shop.

The role requires 3+ years in heavy-duty truck maintenance, OSHA compliance experience, and preferred ASE certifications with CDL. Strong leadership and safety focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Experience with OSHA Haz Com, Lock Out Tag Out, and fire protection is a plus.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or lead technician experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair heavy truck chassis and refuse bodies, including hydraulic, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Provide coaching on diagnostics to subordinate technicians and plan work to minimize downtime.
• Inspect third-party repairs for safety and regulatory compliance; mentor technicians.
• Perform complex diagnostics and on-site or road repairs as needed.
• Manage repair scheduling and ensure safe, timely completion of all tasks.
