Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Diagnostic Technician to maintain and improve the Diagnostic department’s proficiencies and efficiency. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing electronic assemblies, with travel to customer sites as needed.

You will work with test equipment, review documentation, and collaborate with engineering teams. Applicants should be proficient with schematics and BOMs, capable of data-driven evaluation, and able to train others while adhering to safety and company

Qualifications

• Understand probability and statistics principles.
• Effectively present information to managers, clients, and the public.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Operate a Windows PC and related software.
• Read and understand visual aids and documentation.
• Apply basic math to measurements and data interpretation.
• Use instrumentation to diagnose electronic assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to component level on electronic circuit board assemblies with prior repair attempts.
• Demonstrate proficiency with electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Interpret schematics, BOMs, EC documents, visuals, and testing procedures.
• Assist Test Engineering with data evaluation to improve diagnosis efficiency.
• Travel to customer sites for advanced diagnostic issues as required.
• Support staffing decisions for the Diagnostic team and assist in recruitment.
• Train technicians on technical issues and methods.
• Prepare reports and propose solutions to technical problems.
• Adhere to safety, health, and security procedures.
