Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Biomedical Imaging Equipment Technician to analyze, repair, and calibrate advanced diagnostic imaging equipment at the Charlotte site. The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, collaboration with clinical staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The position requires five or more years of experience in imaging equipment service, a High School Diploma or GED, and strong knowledge of networking technologies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety precautions when servicing high voltage and working with ionizing radiation.
• Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of networking technology.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task several projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyses, troubleshoots and repairs highly complex diagnostic imaging equipment and systems.
• Installs, calibrates and tests highly complex new imaging equipment and/or systems.
• Supports imaging staff in using complex diagnostic imaging devices and provides advanced technical support.
• Coordinates with radiation physicist for equipment QA testing and licensing needs as applicable.
